Week one roundup
Well after just a few days, we have a growing list of members as part of our class blog. Thanks to those of you who have joined.
There are some things I want to make sure that everyone understands about how this works so we can hopefully avoid problems or misunderstandings.
First off, this blog is not private. It is conceivable that anyone on the web could visit this page and see what we have written. For that reason I would discourage sharing addresses and phone numbers on this page.
Secondly, images are going to be a recurring issue. This web site is free from Blogger, and does not include posting and hosting images.
I would recommend that if you want to post photos, go to flickr and get a free account. Then you can link to any photos you want to. This is my Flickr page. Flickr is free up to 100 photos.
Flickr is also nice because it does have optional security built in so only others who are allowed can view the photos. If you are interested in using Flickr, email me. I will send you an invitation from Flickr then you can get started sharing photos of all those cute kids.
Here is a photo hosted for free on Flickr:
Third, set up your blogger profiles with at least a little information. Jeannie Lee did this so you can at least see some of who she is (click her name at the top-right of this page).
Fourth, if you already have a website, photo-sharing account, blog, or whatever online that you would like linked to on the right side of this page under "links", let me know.
Finally, post! (Way to be, Brooke) Tell us all what's going on, leave comments under existing posts, let's bring this thing to life, eh?
